Florida Woman Blows 0.197 After Driving on Three Wheels

Barbara Bishop, 57, was arrested for DUI in Florida after driving her Jeep on three wheels and rear-ending a vehicle stopped at a red light. The incident occurred when Bishop lost a tire on her vehicle but continued driving, causing sparks to fly from the bare rim as witnesses observed her erratic driving.

A witness reported seeing Bishop drive off a bridge with no tire on one wheel, perform a U-turn, accelerate, and continue driving before the collision occurred. When officers arrived at the scene, Bishop appeared disoriented and could not remember her own address or location.

During the traffic crash investigation, the responding officer noticed signs of impairment and transitioned to a DUI investigation. Bishop admitted to drinking vodka and acknowledged she had been driving while intoxicated. When asked to perform field sobriety tests, she told the officer she would not pass because she knew she was intoxicated.

Bishop was unable to complete the walk-and-turn field sobriety test due to her level of impairment. She subsequently provided a breath sample that registered 0.197 blood alcohol content, more than twice Florida's legal limit of 0.08.

Bishop faces DUI charges stemming from the incident involving her dangerous driving on three wheels and subsequent rear-end collision.
