Julia Jones, a 40-year-old Palm Coast resident, was arrested by Flagler County Sheriff's deputies on April 19 after a 911 call reported a highly intoxicated woman on Farraday Lane.

Deputy Parker located Jones at the intersection of Farraday Lane and Fawn Lane around 7 p.m. Deputies observed that Jones could not maintain her balance and detected a strong odor of alcohol on her person.

During the encounter, Jones became combative with responding officers. Bodycam footage shows Jones resisting arrest and verbally berating the deputies attempting to take her into custody.

The situation escalated when Jones spat on one of the deputies during the arrest process. This action constituted an additional offense against the arresting officers.

The incident began when someone called 911 to report concerns about Jones' level of intoxication in the residential area. Deputies responded to the duplex on Farraday Lane but encountered Jones nearby before reaching the original location.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office released bodycam footage of the arrest, which documented Jones' behavior throughout the encounter with law enforcement.

Jones faces charges related to her intoxicated state and her actions during the arrest, including the assault on the deputy.
