Woman Arrested After Refusing to Leave North Port Bar
A 24-year-old woman was arrested on disorderly intoxication charges after refusing to leave Linksters Bar in North Port, Florida following a trespass warning from police. North Port Police Department officers responded to a disturbance call at the establishment on a Wednesday night.
When officers arrived at the scene, the woman flagged them down in the parking lot. Bar management had requested that she be trespassed from the property. Officers issued the official trespass notice and attempted to help arrange transportation for her to leave the premises.
Despite the trespass warning and officers' efforts to facilitate her departure, the woman refused to leave the area. What began as a routine bar disturbance call extended over the course of an hour as the situation escalated.
The incident was captured on police body camera footage, which shows the prolonged interaction between officers and the woman. The video contains discussions of alleged abuse and strong language throughout the encounter.
