Woman Rams Ex-Boyfriend's Car During Date in Fort Pierce
A Fort Pierce woman was arrested after allegedly ramming her vehicle into her ex-boyfriend's car while he was on a date with another woman. The incident occurred in a parking lot after the suspect had been drinking at The Jetty, a local establishment.
According to police reports, the woman tracked her ex-boyfriend's phone location and drove to where he was dining with his new girlfriend. Upon arriving at the scene, she confronted the couple in the parking lot before deliberately striking their vehicle with her car while the new girlfriend was seated in the passenger seat.
After making threats against both individuals, the suspect fled the scene. Officers located her a short distance away and initiated a DUI investigation. Field sobriety testing was conducted as part of the standard protocol for suspected impaired driving cases.
The incident appears to stem from jealousy over the ex-boyfriend's new relationship. The woman's decision to track his location and confront him while under the influence led to charges related to both the vehicular assault and suspected driving under the influence.
Bodycam footage captured the subsequent field sobriety testing process conducted by responding officers. The case involves multiple potential charges including DUI, vehicular assault, and making terroristic threats. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities review all evidence from the incident.
