Woman Arrested After K9 Finds Gun in Child's Bag

A Florida woman was arrested during a traffic stop after a police K9 discovered a firearm hidden in a child's duffel bag in her vehicle. The incident began when officers pulled over a rental car for illegal window tint violations.

During the traffic stop, officers called for a K9 unit to conduct a search of the vehicle. The drug detection dog alerted to the presence of contraband, leading officers to conduct a thorough search of the car.

Officers discovered white powder residue inside the vehicle during their investigation. More significantly, they found a firearm concealed within a duffel bag located in the backseat of the car.

According to the police report, the duffel bag belonged to one of the children who was present during the traffic stop. The discovery of the weapon led to additional charges against the driver.
