Woman Charged With Armed Trafficking After Drug Gun Discovery

A woman was arrested on armed trafficking charges after deputies discovered cocaine, fentanyl, and a firearm during a traffic stop, according to bodycam footage released by law enforcement.

When deputies located a white powder substance, the woman told officers it was baking soda she used for laundry purposes. However, field testing conducted at the scene indicated otherwise.

Deputies reported finding drug paraphernalia including a pipe and tray that tested positive for fentanyl. They also discovered two bags that tested positive for cocaine and a scale used for weighing substances.

A firearm was located inside a safe within the vehicle, leading to the armed trafficking charges. The combination of drugs, paraphernalia, scales, and the weapon suggested drug distribution activity according to the arrest report.

Throughout the traffic stop, the suspect maintained her innocence and requested to speak with an attorney. She continued to deny any knowledge or ownership of the items found in the truck.

The woman was taken into custody and formally charged with armed trafficking. The case remains active in the court system.
