Woman on DUI Probation Arrested for Attacking Sister
Elizabeth Kuhn was arrested by Athens-Clarke County deputies in Georgia on October 3, 2025, after allegedly attacking her sister during a dispute over transportation to weekend jail. Kuhn was serving a sentence for a 2024 DUI conviction through weekend incarceration and relied on her sister for rides to the facility.
The altercation began when Kuhn's sister arrived home later than expected to drive her to jail for her scheduled weekend sentence. According to authorities, the disagreement escalated into a physical confrontation between the siblings.
Deputies responded to the domestic disturbance and arrested Kuhn on charges of battery involving family violence. The incident occurred while Kuhn was actively serving her DUI probation sentence through the weekend jail program.
Kuhn later pleaded guilty to the battery charge, while a related count was dismissed by prosecutors. The new arrest had significant consequences for her existing case, as the offense constituted a violation of her DUI probation terms.
As a result of the probation violation, authorities revoked Kuhn's weekend jail arrangement and returned her to full-time incarceration. The case demonstrates how new criminal charges can complicate existing probation sentences and lead to additional jail time beyond the original conviction.
