Former NFL Player Robert Nkemdiche Arrested on Multiple Warrants
Former NFL defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche was arrested by Union City, Georgia police after being caught shoplifting at a Kroger grocery store. Officers observed the former Arizona Cardinals first-round pick leaving the store with items concealed in his sweatpants.
When confronted by police, Nkemdiche denied stealing anything. However, officers recovered candy bars, frozen meals, and almond milk scattered throughout the parking lot. Store management declined to press charges but requested that Nkemdiche be issued a criminal trespass warning banning him from the property.
A routine warrant check revealed that Nkemdiche had 10 active warrants across multiple states, including three in Georgia. Officers transported him to the Fulton County jail on the outstanding warrants.
This incident marks Nkemdiche's third arrest in approximately one year. He was previously arrested for DUI at a bowling alley in Kennesaw, Georgia in March 2025 and for shoplifting wine in Buford, Georgia in July 2025.
Nkemdiche was the consensus number one overall recruit in the class of 2013 and was selected 29th overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2016 NFL Draft. He played five seasons in the NFL before his professional career ended.
Nkemdiche remains in custody at the Fulton County jail on the multiple outstanding warrants from various jurisdictions.
