K-9 Titan Apprehends Domestic Battery Suspect in Palm Coast

Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Ilia Javoronkov, 43, of Palm Coast following a domestic disturbance that escalated into a barricade situation Sunday night. The incident marked the first deployment for K-9 Titan in an active apprehension.

Deputies responded to a home in the R Section of Palm Coast around 10:00 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from a distressed victim. During the emergency call, the victim pleaded for help, stating "He's going to kill me" and "Please bring help; he's hurting me."

When deputies arrived at the scene, they could hear yelling from inside the residence. Javoronkov came to the door with the victim visible behind him, appearing fearful and attempting to stay back from the suspect. Deputies separated the parties by speaking with the victim outside the home.

Javoronkov then shut the door and refused to cooperate with law enforcement, creating a barricade situation. The incident required the deployment of K-9 Titan, who successfully apprehended the suspect during his first active deployment.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office took Javoronkov into custody on domestic battery charges following the incident.
