Two Women Detained on Warrants After Disputed Assault Call

Police responded to an apartment after a father called to report that his daughter told him she had been stabbed. When officers arrived, they found no evidence of a stabbing, but they did find a broken window and a woman with a bloody face.

The injured woman told officers she had been attacked, held against her will, and robbed of her phone and wallet. A second woman at the scene said she had gone to the apartment only to retrieve stolen belongings and acted in self defense when a confrontation occurred.

Officers noted that the two women's accounts of what happened did not match. Investigators worked to piece together the timeline of events using statements from both women and observations from the scene, including the broken window and visible injuries.

During the investigation, officers discovered that both women were wanted on outstanding warrants. One had an active felony warrant, while the other was wanted in connection with a hit and run case. Both women were taken into custody.

After the arrests, one of the women began providing officers with additional information about items the other woman had been carrying. Bodycam footage captured the exchange as officers continued sorting through conflicting statements about the alleged assault and robbery.

No charges related to the alleged stabbing, assault, or robbery were confirmed in the footage. Both women were taken into custody on their respective outstanding warrants, and the incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
